Themed after a tricked out 1950s-era hot rod, Lightning Rod launches riders from zero to 45 mph (72 km/h) more than 20 stories up its lift structure. At the crest of the hill, riders face twin summit airtime hills before tackling a daring first drop. Lightning Rod races down the 165 foot (50 m) hillside and propels guests to a top speed of 73 mph (117km/h). There is no surprise why USA Today has continually named Lightning Rod as one of the top-10 best roller coasters in the country.

Visit Dollywood
Dollywood is an amusement park jointly owned by entertainer Dolly Parton and Herschend Family Entertainment. It is located in the Knoxville-Smoky Mountains metroplex in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Hosting nearly 3 million guests in a typical season – mid-March to the Christmas holidays – Dollywood is the biggest ticketed tourist attraction in Tennessee.
The theme park is the anchor of Parton's 150-acre (61 ha) Dollywood amusement destination, which also includes the 35-acre (14 ha) sister water park Dollywood's Splash Country, the 20-acre (8.1 ha) Dollywood's DreamMore Resort and Spa,[3] and the 5-acre (2.0 ha) Dolly Parton's Stampede Dinner Attraction.
